I used this literacy program. I used this literacy program.

A new reading-literacy curriculum!

My school decided to try a new reading-literacy curriculum based on the Gospel Storyteller Reading Series and the Tweener Press Adventure Series.

Imagine my surprise, as students in my 3-4 combination class moaned each day when we had to stop reading the books! They wanted to keep reading and didn’t want to be slowed down. Then at the end of each book another huge sigh of discontent that the book was not going to continue forever!

From the adventure series I have taught Legend of the White Wolf, which is bound to become one of the most beloved stories of all time about a boy and nature, and Newspaper Caper, an exciting mystery. Each tell a story that is profoundly rooted in God’s principles which any parent would be pleased to have their child read.

I taught Mark’s Story, a transliteration of the Gospel of Mark, for my third term reading curriculum. It is a wonderful blend of the Bible and reading curriculum – together as one! The conversational story style by Dr. Baker along with the excellent illustrations by Paul Trittin bring the Bible to life and presents Jesus as someone children can relate to.

The Teacher’s Study Guides make preparation of the lesson plans efficient and minimal. I would recommend these books to any teacher. My students loved them.
